Customer Review: “This has welded SOLID stoppers as part of the unit so when the plugs COME UP through the 3 molds the plugs STOP and are forced out of the unit instead of getting clogged. It automatically EJECTS the plugs.You MAY HAVE occasional clogs (not often) or may need to clean the molds occasionally but all in all in does EXACTLY what it states. We have ALOT of clay here so my plugs were maybe 2-3 inches but areas without CLAY the plugs will be longer and better. All in all it did an EXCELLENT job the goal is to open lawn up allowing minerals, air, water, and lawn food to penetrate deep in soil and ground. I used a machine last year and this time the manual puller. You WILL NOT find a better plug puller for the price and you can complete a SMALL LAWN in a reasonable amount of time. As a result your lawn (with OTHER forms of treatment, weeds, bugs, etc) will look amazing long term of course. Understand that HEALTHY lawns usually take years and can be complicated by droughts, bugs, and low quality lawn seed and crab grass. Good luck!”

My big worry was this would clog because my dirt is a decent clay mixture too more than a couple inches down, but this has been doing great. It’s designed so that as long as you push it down all the way, the top of the dirt/mud is forced forward out of the hole and it sticks to itself better than the tool so you’re ready for the next plunge. Too early to tell what results I see, but the use was easy enough to do what it’s intended to do.”
