Customer Review: “I rarely write reviews, but this product is so awesome in every way I just have to. I already own lots of battery powered tools and even have a very high-end all electric boat with Lithium batteries for tournament bass fishing so I’m no stranger to battery power. Despite this, I was slightly hesitant to order the 40v model vs. 80 vs. the Lowes exclusive 60. I was only worried about it having enough power and not bogging down in my very thick/dense yard. Worry not. We have a 2+ acre yard so I really got this to mow inside a small fenced pool area vs. using a riding mower and also to trim around some trees. A testimonial to the power of this mower – because I had put down seed with straw blankets on top in spots, i let the entire about 3k sq/ft area grow for several weeks. Most of the area was about 8-12” high. I thought for sure the mower would choke even on the highest (7) height setting. It had no issues at all even at the fastest self propelled speed and only 2 or 3 times even kicked into the auto sensing high power cutting speed. I mowed the area once at height 7 then moved it to 4 and redid it just to get it even shorter. I also used self propelled for a 40 yard walk to/from area including it pulling up a decent hill for half of that as a test. Pros (all super great)-easy 5-10 minute assembly out of box-everything very solidly built, like a “real mower”-powerful multi speed self propelled. Also, this works without starting mower, so you can use it to get to/from job area limiting battery use….. or push it if u want.-very quiet compared to gas. 1/4 – 1/2(max) the noise-battery life? I used 5ah battery to mow that area 2x for about 20 min. Of mowing and use of self propelled. It took 1.5 hours to charge battery so I’d estimate I used at most 50% of battery (they say 4 hrs to fully charge). Calculate that out to estimate of let’s be conservative and just say 40 min. Of run time. With 2 batteries I would think you can mow a 1/8th to 1/4 acre area.-7 easy mowing height adjustments-easy everything … start, self propelled, instructions, assembly-no gas, oil, dirt, setup time, maintenance.. just walk out get mower, push button, mow-winterize – e.g. gas treatment, run gas out, etc…. nada-grass bagger/bagging great, clean cut-batteries: easy in and out and even are to hold spare. Please ignore all the complaints I see within of people saying the battery is hard to remove once inserted (I.e. that it’s hard to press the release and u need a tool to help with that). Absurd comments unless you have zero wrist strength and your fingers are so big your hand doesn’t fit in a mailbox.-battery can be used in the other green works tools. ( I also,bought the equally awesome blower and trimmer. Trimmer tested with using all my existing Ryobi attachments which is nice if desired.) Con-with thick real thick yard, I would say height adjustment below 3 will drag mower deck in front. (Too low)”

Customer Review: “I’m not sure I would be so happy with this mower if I didn’t already have a Greenworks suite of tools – chain saw, pole saw, weed trimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer. And two chargers and four batteries. If I’m mulching and using the self propelled feature I have to replace the battery a couple times to finish my yard. But since I have so many and they charge so fast it is no problem at all. With that caveat, this is a fantastic mower. It runs well, mulches well, is easy to handle and super low maintenance. Very important, as I am a 60+ single woman, it is easy to start. Just press the button! I’ve had it for three seasons now and it just keeps going like a champ. The batteries can be a little hard to get out, but I find if I use both hands to do it they aren’t too difficult to remove. I saw the zip tie battery hack in another review but even though my thumbs are getting a little stiff in my old age, it doesn’t seem worth the trouble.”

Customer Review: “Working fine for me. Easy to use. No battery. Lightweight. No gas. Has enough power to cut tall weeds and grass. I’m almost 72 in good health, fit, I can lift a 50 pound cement bag, that kinda stuff. I didn’t want to smell gas fumes. Yes it will take me longer using an electric mower but I also wanted the grass clippings picked up. More of a manicure lawn look. Sometimes I clip the weeds with my long handle shears then use the mower. I know it’s a long arduous process! But at retired 72 all I got is time and burning calories too. I take the clippings over to my next door neighbors goats sheep and chickens and ducks. They love the fresh cut grass and weeds. I’m cutting the Cal Fire required 100 feet clearance around my house, goats pen and dog house. We have 29 acres and lost everything but one house in the June 2024 Apache Wildfire. Barring some other catastrophic event we will be in good shape if another wildfire happens.”

Customer Review: “Update: Decided to keep this mower and have used it 4 times now. I am impressed at what a good job it does at cutting evenly, the bag is plenty big for my small size yard (approx 24\’x 60\’), and the batteries have plenty of power left at the end of the job. Still not thrilled about the need to use both batteries then charging them separately, but I suppose it would bother me more if I had a bigger yard and ran out of power in the middle of cutting. If one of them does die, I will need to replace, but crossing my fingers they have longevity — at least 2 or 3 seasons. Other than that, still kind of cheap feeling, but the plastic is pretty sturdy and it is very light weight to move all around the tight spaces in the yard. Original review:The mower was delivered timely and the driver was extremely cordial. The Amazon box that it came in was a bit rag tag and the product box had a hole in the top. When I opened the box, it almost looked like this item was returned and re-packaged as there were knobs and bolts scattered throughout the box. All parts appeared to be included in the box. As I assembled it, the mower was smaller than I expected and I am apprehensive about all parts except the bolts, handle, and blade being plastic of very light to light grade-especially the wheels. I charged the batteries immediately, and it’s nice that there is a way to check their charge status with the light on the batteries themselves. Not real thrilled about needing both batteries to run this as it takes over 2 hours to charge both. Once both batteries were charged, I inserted and began mowing the smallest portion of my yard (the entire yard is small at 10\’x40\’). I just bought this home that has an automatic sprinkler system, so I set the height at 3 to make sure I cleared the sprinkler heads. The mower itself seemed to cut evenly and well, but this yard is really “clumpy” (earthworms, I think). and getting through it was a little challenging with these small plastic wheels (I had to tilt the front and lift the back many times to get through it). It took 20 minutes to finish where my previous lawn took 45 minutes to complete with a self propelled walk behind (120\’x75\’). Plus the bagger was full after this small section. I charged the batteries before mowing the second half of my yard (took an hour to charge one and 40 minutes to charge the second one and both had at least 1/3 power left). Like the 1st side, this section of the yard is extremely clumpy and has more obstacles than the first section (more sprinkler heads, had to move some rocks from neighbors yard, and some downspouts to mow around). It was also a little taller than the 1st section, so I adjusted the height by 1 setting higher. It took 40 minutes to mow this section and I had to empty the bag in the middle of mowing and at the end (this section is 60\’x13\’). The batteries were strong throughout and the cut was clean and even. My biggest concern is whether this mower will last through one summer with its flimsy plastic parts especially the wheels. I will mow one more time with it to see how it holds up, but I think my skepticism about the construction is leaning toward a return especially if I end up needing to buy a new mower after one season (about 3 months of mowing) when I could spend a little more now for a gas powered with better construction and no need to stop half way through to charge the batteries !”
