Customer Review: So, I have a lot of areas that I mulch and I’ve been thinking that I needed something to keep the mulch in place. But I’m frugal, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. Pound in edging tends to be expensive, so when I found this edging at 2 inches high (rather than 1 1/2 inches) at a great price, I figured I’d give it a try and it is wonderful. I took the advise of some reviewers and let it sit in the sun before installation which made it very flexible. I was suspicious of the plastic stakes, but they worked fine and when needed, a rubber mallet did the trick. I put a stake in every second hole and had enough to utilize the entire length provided. It curved where I needed it to – and was so easy to install that now I’m looking around my yard to see if I can justify a second purchase.

I have been using a battery powered weed eater to try to trim the long walkway up to my front porch. However, I usually encounter a depleting battery life before my project is complete. So, when I saw this tool, I decided it was time to try something new. Yes, it takes a little more effort to use this manual edger, but it’s not overpowering or cumbersome to use it. I also plan to use it to fix the edging in the back of my house. I can’t go near that section with a weed eater due to utility lines coming from the ground up and connecting to the house. So, I usually end up “edging” the front of this area with my hands. I think this will do a great job of clearing the grass and weeds yet allow me to stay away from those annoying utility lines. There is a very wide footplate, so that accommodates my boots well. The blade itself is VERY sharp, which you obviously need. One great feature of this edger is that there is a blade guard that fits on the end when the edger is not in use and hanging on a garage organizer. There is a padded handle grip which is also a nice touch. As the product description mentions, there is the ability to adjust the height of the tool and that is another reason why this edger caught my eye. There is a minimal amount of assembly required when the package is received, but it is very easy and presents no problem for a non-mechanical person such as me. (Now you can see why I liked the idea of a manual edger!) However, I have to let Mother Nature get rid of the snow covering my grass before I can test this edger out. I can already tell that it will do well for my needs.

Customer Review: Absolutely perfect fit and great replacement part. Durability on these are the same as any other, and typically they wear down pretty quick, but they are cheap enough that it doesnt matter. The durability has nothing to do with build quality as thats great, its just the nature of what what these things do that wears them down. I will definitely repurchase.
