Customer Review: I live in Phoenix on an acre parcel and most of it is in desert landscape. Therefore no formal lawn to mow. Yaaa. However when it rains here the weeds grow, well like weeds. Fast and furious. This year we had lots of rain and lots of weeds. I’ve been running a battery powered weed eater every day for a week or so. My back is aching from twisting sideways back and forth so it was time to look for a better solution. I figured how about a small battery powered lawn mower and then I found this thing at about half the cost. So figuring I’d probably junk it after a couple tries I decided to give it a try. Really glad I did. Soon as it arrived I put it together and out I went. It had just rained again and everything was wet but I had to try it. Worked perfectly. Knocked down and chewed up everything I ran it over and no extra back pain as a bonus. I charged up the batteries( comes with 2) overnight and set out to do a good cleanup the next day. This thing is a real delight. It runs about 20 minutes on each battery and since the batteries are fairly small you can carry the spare one in your pocket. another thing about the batteries is the way they eject from the tool. Push the button on the battery and it pops out of the tool’s battery compartment. I mention this because removing the battery from my other “green” weed eater is a real chore You have to push in 2 tabs, one on each side of the battery, and forcibly pull it from the tool. My wife can’t even manage doing it and I barely can, often resorting to prying it loose with a screwdriver while pushing the tabs with both hands. The black and decker baterries just eject with 1 hand by pushing the button, I love it. When you get close to a fence or wall and the platform won\’t get close enough, the weed wacker removes from the deck instantly by stepping on a lever on the deck and lifting the handle of the weed wacker forward and up. To return it back in the deck reverse the process, simple and easy. Keep in mind this is a regular string trimmer. It is not a bladed lawn mower and does not do the job of a bladed lawn mower It is a string trimmer on wheels. because you push it similar to vacuming a carpet , front and back, front and back, instead of constantly twisting sideways it doesn\’t put the strain on your arms and back liike a regular string trimmer does. It does not mulch as fine as a mower would and if you have tall weeds or grass as I did you will need to make several passes, as you would with any string trimmer except you don\’t have to hold it up, just push it back and forth. I have not had to replace the line yet so I cannot comment on that, except to say looking at it, it looks like the exact same process as the other 2 trimmers I have. To clear the bottom of the deck I simply remove the trimmer and wash out the deck with a hose. its been coated with wet grass almost every time I finish. I\’m sure dry shorter vegetation will cut much easier. I\’m cutting damp weeds and bermuda grass about knee high. The deck is light weight plastic but seems durable enough. If the deck should deteriorate and I have to replace it, the replacement cost of the set is about the same as a different manufacture\’s string trimmer alone. but I\’ll worry about that if it happens. so far I have no regrets whatsoever.

Customer Review: The 3-in-1 Black + Decker lawn mower, trimmer is tops in my book! Let me tell you I sure wish I had this gem of a tool years ago and not when I’m 71. I just happened to see this when I was looking at yard tools on Amazon. When I saw it was Black + Decker I knew it was worth a try. And it’s a game changer. The kids that used to do lawns in my area don’t want to do it now. And that’s okay now that I found what I call my “Barbie doll mower” 😆 When I picked up the box it came in my thought was there is just no way there is a lawn mower in this box. But Black + Decker did not disappoint! It works like a charm. I can mow my own lawn often to keep up on it and keep it looking nice without paying someone. And at the very low cost I could buy one of these every other month and be at the cost I was paying. So no more weed whacking for me like I had to do recently after the weeds got out of control while I was trying to find somebody to do my lawn. I was not able to upload a video so I will tell you instead. I can mow and turn the mower to an angle with ease. I can stop mowing if I see a spot that needs the trimmer, remove the handle and trim the spot, then reattach and continue mowing. The mower also gets into tight spots and goes on an incline easily to mow in front of plants. It is light to life and carry. Color me happy! The only reason that it looked like I was having trouble is because I was taking the video with one of my hands. Lift out the trimmer which is also the edger. The battery life may not be as long as I would like but the two charged batters are enough to do the mowing. After recharge I can do the edging.

Customer Review: I really like this product. I didn’t know what to think of this lawnmower when I took it out the box. It’s small in size but it gets the job done. It’s made of durable plastic, metal arm and comes with a clipping bag. It’s very compact, light weight and easy to use. One battery is included, last about 18 minutes when fully charged(I went ahead and bought a second battery so I could complete the lawn job in my large yard). Easy assembly & maneuverability.

Customer Review: Very easy to put together. It comes almost completely assembled. Height adjustment is easy to use. We had our front, side, and backyard mowed in 25 minutes!! Highly recommended!! The only small downside is that it doesn’t come with a type c outlet charger. We purchased one on amazon the day after the mower was delivered and are good to go! It does only come with one battery as well, you can purchase a backup but it really isn’t necessary, the battery charges really fast!

Customer Review: It’s small, which is not bad, but you have to adapt with it. The first mowing of the season is in and this performed decently despite it’s small size. It does have some flaws, in that the cutting path is so narrow, that trying to use it like a traditional lawn mower is not good. I tried out a few methods, and found that single arm motions more akin to a push broom are the best way to do it, and it’s fairly decent with that. If you don’t have a large part to work, or it’s irregular, it’s not that much slower, but if it’s long open parts, it’s slower. While I was doing the front yard with features, another person was doing the side with minimal features, They did get done faster. Each battery is about 15 minutes of runtime, which was not enough to complete the part of the yard. Fortunately it’s Makita compatible 18V (which max at 21V) and I have a number of those around, so I got it done with about 3 (2 included + 1 lower capacity) batteries. (I did put #4 in when I wondered it if was slowing down, and it didn’t seem to be.) For completeness it was up against an Atlas 80V mower, which has 2 batteries (And is about 3x the price with the batteries and charger) It handled everything including taller grass much better than expected. Though again, with kind of a broom motion. An annoyance was one handed the trigger would sometimes come off if you were in the left or right part of the handle. (Where it angles down) I really wish it didn’t because it seemed like it stalled a few times, when in fact it was the safety cutoff. They could have used a slightly less powerful spring opposing you, at least IMO. This was the case if there were low spots as well. Price wise, I think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is. It is light as hell, and lets you do it with one hand, but the fact that you need to do such a different motion and it’s so tiny is kind of a knock against it. As well as the batteries not doing even a full section of the yard (counter balanced by it being a common battery format.) On the other hand it is less than 200 for a new full working system when by comparison the other mower is over 250 alone. (And now it’s on sale for $160, vs the $190) Overall, I’m going to give this 4 stars (I’ve debated anything 3 (when trying it out like a regular mower, before using it like a broom almost)-5 (at various times when thinking about it’s positive attributes.)) I think 4 is a decent place for it. I do think they could have moved the actual spinner section back a *tiny* bit and made the cutting section bigger without needing many power changes, which would greatly improve it. Though I do think this is about the right size to make a small lawnmower bot, I don’t need another project.

Customer Review: Update: Decided to keep this mower and have used it 4 times now. I am impressed at what a good job it does at cutting evenly, the bag is plenty big for my small size yard (approx 24’x 60′), and the batteries have plenty of power left at the end of the job. Still not thrilled about the need to use both batteries then charging them separately, but I suppose it would bother me more if I had a bigger yard and ran out of power in the middle of cutting. If one of them does die, I will need to replace, but crossing my fingers they have longevity — at least 2 or 3 seasons. Other than that, still kind of cheap feeling, but the plastic is pretty sturdy and it is very light weight to move all around the tight spaces in the yard. Original review: The mower was delivered timely and the driver was extremely cordial. The Amazon box that it came in was a bit rag tag and the product box had a hole in the top. When I opened the box, it almost looked like this item was returned and re-packaged as there were knobs and bolts scattered throughout the box. All parts appeared to be included in the box. As I assembled it, the mower was smaller than I expected and I am apprehensive about all parts except the bolts, handle, and blade being plastic of very light to light grade-especially the wheels. I charged the batteries immediately, and it’s nice that there is a way to check their charge status with the light on the batteries themselves. Not real thrilled about needing both batteries to run this as it takes over 2 hours to charge both. Once both batteries were charged, I inserted and began mowing the smallest portion of my yard (the entire yard is small at 10’x40′). I just bought this home that has an automatic sprinkler system, so I set the height at 3 to make sure I cleared the sprinkler heads. The mower itself seemed to cut evenly and well, but this yard is really “clumpy” (earthworms, I think). and getting through it was a little challenging with these small plastic wheels (I had to tilt the front and lift the back many times to get through it). It took 20 minutes to finish where my previous lawn took 45 minutes to complete with a self propelled walk behind (120’x75′). Plus the bagger was full after this small section. I charged the batteries before mowing the second half of my yard (took an hour to charge one and 40 minutes to charge the second one and both had at least 1/3 power left). Like the 1st side, this section of the yard is extremely clumpy and has more obstacles than the first section (more sprinkler heads, had to move some rocks from neighbors yard, and some downspouts to mow around). It was also a little taller than the 1st section, so I adjusted the height by 1 setting higher. It took 40 minutes to mow this section and I had to empty the bag in the middle of mowing and at the end (this section is 60’x13′). The batteries were strong throughout and the cut was clean and even. My biggest concern is whether this mower will last through one summer with its flimsy plastic parts especially the wheels. I will mow one more time with it to see how it holds up, but I think my skepticism about the construction is leaning toward a return especially if I end up needing to buy a new mower after one season (about 3 months of mowing) when I could spend a little more now for a gas powered with better construction and no need to stop half way through to charge the batteries !

Customer Review: I just love this little lightweight mower. I did half my yard on Sat and the other half on Sunday. It did a really good job and took care of a lot of the weed eating also. With nothing sticking out on the sides, it cuts close against all the trees and shrubs. I hope it holds up for a long time. I love it. Would highly recommend.

Customer Review: Item has potential, but it constantly loses power while mowing…batteries were fully charged. Therefore, it takes twice as long to mow with this item due to the unit constantly losing power, so I unfortunately returned it.
