“I had a pair of Khombu shoes that I picked up in BJs a few years ago. They were inexpensive loafer like shoes that I expected wouldn’t be too good but they turned out to be very practical and very comfortable. I wore them as knock around shoes for a couple of years and when they started to look too worn used them for chores around the house (mowing the grass, trimming bushes, etc.) and when I went on hikes because they were so well cushioned. The sole on one of the shoes eventually started coming off so I had to look for a replacement. I wanted something for outdoor chores and Khombu doesn’t make the ones I had bought any more so I tried to find something like it. I saw a lot of good reviews for Muckster shoes but had never heard of them (Well I hadn’t heard of Khombu before I saw and bought them at BJs either). I did see a few negative reviews about these being too narrow and hard to slip on or having the sole fall off after a few weeks but thought I would give these a try. They fit as expected, neither too small nor too large or too narrow. (I chose a medium). They are very well cushioned without being too heavy or feeling cumbersome and bulky. I was concerned they might get hot because they are water resistant but they seem to breath well enough that is not a problem…your foot doen’t get hot in these shoes. I think for the type of shoe they are they look good (Not like some clunky water boot type shoe). You can never be sure when you see some positive reviews on Amazon and then there are some that complain about the product being just awful. Since I didn’t have a chance to try these on before ordering from Amazon I can say I am pleased that they seem to be a quality product.”

“I got these shoes for work, they’re cool looking they’re breathable they’re lightweight they’re just completely awesome. I ended up having a problem with them after a week of wearing them. “Amazing shoes! I’ve worn these through 2 1/2 seasons now and they are worth the money. Feet stay dry, tread is awesome, nice and lightweight and comfortable. The only feedback I have is to make the tag on the rear more durable. Since they are high tops with good ankle support it’s nice to have these to pull them on, however they are sewn in with thread that tears.”

“Love Skechers shoes. After trying several styles in, these are the ones that matched my needs. Lightweight, more like a sturdy tennis shoe with a good hiking tread, water repellent, and with the very comfortable memory foam insole. It has good arch support without being too much. I like the relaxed fit. It gives a wider toe box without being overall wide. The slip in is an added bonus. I especially like that it gives a good padded heel grip. The runner up was the Skechers Air Envoy which I also really liked. But it was a bit heavier and not quite as roomy in the toe box. If you do more serious hiking I would recommend them. I just wanted something for easy hikes, stability and good traction on dirt or muddy trails, heavier yard work and everyday use. These fit the bill. Instantly comfortable. Size is right on.”

“The shoe quest is won! I’ve hoped for years to find shoes that really work for me. These Skechers John Deere 5.0 Trail Harvesters are the PERFECT shoes! Bar none. I commend Amazon for a nice price. And kudos to the Skechers designers for incredible form and fit. I will buy more pairs, in both charcoal black and green! And for those folks who benefit from a wide shoe, these Trail Harvesters in X-Wide are stunningly comfortable. Getting into them is effortless. Adjust the laces to your preference and slide on in! Last but not least, the Goodyear treads on the bottom of the shoes are in the fashion of actual Goodyear tires, and made of sturdy rubber. For example, when mopping floors. I would not recommend wearing these shoes in snow or on ice because the shoe material loses some traction in colder temperatures. And if you need a waterproof shoe for general, everyday walking and commuting, then a sturdier shoe with a thicker sole and more exterior protection would be a better choice. This is not a criticism of the design, it is just a recognition that these shoes serve a limited purpose. Sizing of these shoe is generous and notably comfortable. These pair will easily slip-on and off, and it’s best to wear them with socks that will wick-away moisture. “I had heard of this brand as being the best shoes for gardening, mowing, and general light to medium duty outdoor work. I was surprised at how inexpensive they are, but I ordered a pair and am in love with them. These are better than $150 outdoor shoes. My old gardening shoes had Gortex as a feature but the first time I wore them water leaked right through and soaked my feet. The material of these is naturally waterproof and there’s a good “seal” around your ankle that doesn’t get uncomfortable at all. The insole is also surprisingly comfortable, I wasn’t expecting it to be this way, but I have high arches and sometimes need aftermarket insoles. With these ones I don’t.”
