Customer Review: “I’ve owned these Bluetooth over-ear hearing protection earmuffs for about 9 months. I’ve used these earphones countless times now and love them. I use them mowing the lawn, with power tools, such as mitre saw, power washer, leaf blower, etc. and I can listen to my podcasts or music without issue. I don’t know how these compare with expensive models, but for the price I’m extremely happy with the comfort, use and durability. I’ve had them covered in sawdust, have gotten them wet from the power washer and they continue to work perfectly. They charge nicely, I don’t know how long they last on one charge, but I’ve used them multiple days, left them not charging, used them again for multiple days and only had them die on me once. I charge them periodically from time-to-time and they always work well. I’m happy with the audio quality. I used to have just regular noise cancelling earmuffs, which were only earmuffs, no speakers. If I don’t have to, I’ll never go back to regular earmuffs, I love the Bluetooth feature and listening while I work. See below paragraphs for how they fit, charging and speakers. The over-ear fit – I’m a 6’2″ male, 22.5″ head size (7 1/8 hat size). These earmuffs are adjustable and fit me just fine. The wire over-earmuff is extendable and comes completely retracted. I thought there was something wrong with them originally because they were so short, and I don’t remember seeing instructions how to extend them. I just had to put them on my head and pull down pretty forcefully to begin extending the wire arms to fit my head right. They stay in place nicely, so the wires don’t move easily, which is a good thing, they adjust and stay where you put them. Charging – I charged the Bluetooth earmuff headphones before using for the first time. Comes with a USB plug-in with USB-C port. No cover over the port on the earmuff, I haven’t had a problem with debris getting in the port while using outside (ie: lawn clippings, sawdust, etc.) After charging they paired easily to my phone. I used them for many hours over several days and they still had a charge. The manual indicates you can use them for many hours without a charge and it seems to be the case for me. A week or two later I used them again without charging, they only worked for about half an hour and then died. So I speculate they do drain while not in use, so I would say it’s imperative to charge before each use or charge regularly to keep them charged to a sufficient level. Speakers – I’m happy with the speakers, the sound is good. I’ve been listening to talk shows while doing loud, outdoor work. Both speakers put out the same sound, clear and crisp. They are loud enough to hear the entire conversation fine without busting your eardrum. No cracking or breaking up, no Bluetooth disconnection issues. Overall very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again!”

(10 hrs a day for 365 days at mid volume)The headband broke long before the audio. I am still able to use my mangled pair but I’m happy to get another.They are AMAZING. The sound muffling is decent and the bluetooth range is phenomenal.I can leave my phone in my room and walk at least a quarter mile into my yard without any static cutting out.I’m not an audiobuff by any means but I can hear every instrument evenly and make out vocals cleanly.The cushions are very comfortable, even during long listening sessions.To top it off, the support staff are understanding and well trained.100% reccomend!”

We’ve recently been in an endless cycle of severe storms hammering the area with hail, horizontal rain, and damaging winds. One night we were pounded with a series of hail storms, so music was cranked up to drown out the sound of the hail. But during one of the storms, there was a roar of noise from the hail on the roof so intense that it drowned out the music. I never wanna hear a sound like that again, ever, so I decided to get some heavy-duty ear muffs, since we had another couple of weeks of crazy weather in the forecast.After spending too much time weeding through products and reviews, I finally chose these.They’re phenomenal!! They take the noise level WAY down, and they’re actually enjoyable to wear. They’re easy to adjust, even with arthritic hands, and so comfy that it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them. I’m finding all kinds of reasons to use them: the paper shredder with a super loud motor and teeth-gritting mechanical whine, middle of the night fart-can drivers, and the neighbor who uses their screaming leaf blower for everything—snow, leaves, grass clippings, scaring squirrels from nesting in the gutters…And yes, they work perfectly for hailstorms! A couple of nights ago we had a whopper of a round of hail, but as soon as that awful sound began, I took refuge in these amazing earmuffs. Instead of having a coronary, I was able to stay zen and chill and even fell asleep with the earmuffs on. I’ve used these at least a dozen times in the past several weeks and they have stayed feeling solidly built and very comfortable. The material where the earpieces contact your skin is totally non- irritating (for me) and of good quality. When they get sweaty it’s easy to wipe off or let dry by flipping the earpieces outward. They don’t feel sweaty when wearing them, though. Even though it was 80F when the last storm hit, I was surprised to see sweat on the earpieces when I removed them, because they never felt like any heat was building up, at all.Bear in mind that you will be able to hear things through these earmuffs—they don’t completely block all sound. Complete elimination of sound is not what they are designed for. But they decrease the sound level so significantly that you’ll be amazed. If you are using these through stormy weather, make sure you have a way to get tornado/flood warnings, like getting alerts sent to your phone and keeping your phone next to you on vibrate and ring. I could faintly hear the tornado sirens through the earmuffs, but a siren is a couple of blocks from my house and the wind direction was blowing the sound toward my house.I never thought I’d consider a pair of sound reducing ear muffs an essential for a bug-out bag, but I’ll be taking these next time the weather chases us out of our homes. I’d also highly recommend these for combat veterans with PTSD, especially during July 4th when the neighborhood pyros are keeping every living thing from having a normal life.Apologies for the novel, but one last thing: the colors are as vibrant as they look online. Customer Review: “TL;DR – great at-home earmuffs for adults with auditory sensitivity. Can be worn with earplugs but not AirPods. Disclosure: I bought these for my husband who is ASD and ADHD neurodivergent with hyperacusis. In other words, he’s mildly autistic, has severe ADHD, and is sensitive to sound. Neurodivergence in general and autism in particular are still highly misunderstood, and the stigma associated with “being autistic” is painfully alive and well. My husband is open about his own reality, so I am, too, and I use the terminology he prefers (i.e., being autistic versus having autism). Others have different preferences, though, so if you know someone on the spectrum, please be respectful and follow their lead, especially with regards to disclosure and terminology. Context: Most people seldom notice everyday background noise. My husband, however, is not most people. For him, the incessant barrage of little sounds can be intensely uncomfortable, both mentally and physically, and highly distracting. I picked these up for him to wear when working from home, and they’re now one of his can’t-live-without items. Effectiveness: These do a great job at REDUCING THE INTENSITY OF SOUND, which is what they’re designed to do. To put that in other words, THESE MUFFS ARE NOT NOISE CANCELLING, NOR ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE. These are simple barrier ear protection. If you’re not sure what that means, cover your ears with your hands. Yep, that’s all these do – just much more effectively than your hands. True noise cancellation requires creating a sound that negates the other sounds – hence the term “cancellation.” These muffs have no electronic components at all. They don’t need Bluetooth or a charger. You just put them on your head and voila, you’re the living embodiment of the Hear No Evil monkey figurine your grandma had on her mantle, except better because you can still use your hands. So, what effects do these muffs have on sound? -Loud noises like the neighbor’s kids shrieking are muffled enough to be bearable. That alone is enough to make them worth it. -Mid-volume sounds become ambient. If I speak at a normal volume, my husband says it sounds like a TV on in another room. He can understand me if he’s paying attention, but otherwise, it’s just background noise. [Yes, I’m aware that statement opens the door for a flood of jokes – I just don’t care. It’s the easiest way to explain the effect, so I’m rolling with it.] -Low volume ambient sounds like a lawnmower or the click of our dog’s nails on the wood floor are entirely suppressed. Because these muffs provide relief from noise without completely cutting off the outside world, they’re viable for daily use. They can also accommodate earplugs for additional noise reduction, which I’ll touch on more later. Comfort: These are surprisingly comfortable! The whole set is very light despite its bulk, and the cushions are soft and pliable. They’re not hot like over-ear headphones, nor do they put uncomfortable pressure on the head. My husband can even nap in them – sleeping on his back, of course. Size: THE SIZE CANNOT BE ADJUSTED! Not surprising for the price, but still important to note. I’m honestly not certain how to measure something like this, so I’ll try to give a frame of reference: – My husband: adult male, 5’11”, 165 lbs, wears 30×32” pants, 15.5” neck in dress shirts, and size 10.5 shoe – Me: adult female, 5’5”, 125 lbs, wears size 4/6 clothes, 8.5 shoe, 5.5/6 ring I am probably the smallest someone could be and still wear these comfortably. They don’t slip or even rest on the tops of my ears, but they do feel the tiniest bit loose. My husband is clearly in the size range these were intended for because they fit him perfectly. He can still pull one side a significant distance from his head, so they would also work for someone considerably larger than him, though I don’t know the upper limit of the range. Durability: These are industrial/construction earmuffs – the type stereotypically worn by big, sweaty dudes wielding jackhammers. They feel a little flimsy because they’re so lightweight, but I think it would actually take some real effort to break them. Appearance: These are definitely focused on function over form. They’re bulky, highly noticeable, and decidedly unfashionable. Whether that’s actually a problem is up to you. For me, the high visibility is great because I can easily see when I need to get my husband’s attention before speaking. Compatibility: These cannot be worn with AirPods or other earphones with stems. It seems like they should work, but the padding presses on the stem in a way that’s super uncomfortable. That said, they probably can be worn with earphones that sit more fully with the ear because they work with Loop Switch 2 earplugs, which are structurally similar. To sum it all up, are these the absolute best, be-all, end-all, holy grail product for every autistic adult with auditory sensitivity? Probably not. Everyone’s different.
