Customer Review: “Bought this to replace an old Greenworks that never fed the string right. The WORX trimmer is definitely lighter. Battery arrived with one bar and charged up fairly quickly. I wanted to edge with it but the instructions weren’t clear as to how to position the head on its side. Took a while to figure out that you had to grab the head and PUSH it out in order to rotate it. The instructions weren’t clear on that part. Anyway, got it set up and it worked like a charm. Very easy to follow a straight line. Also did some trimming with it and it works. The only comment I have is could they make the string spools any smaller? What gives with that? They could have been bigger. Other than that I’m happy.UPDATE: I went to use it yesterday and it kept cutting out. I figured the battery was dead but when I put it on the charger, SOLID RED which is a defective battery. Since I’m outside the return window I dreaded trying to work with the company but I was surprised. I managed to get a real person quickly, she took down the information and promptly put in an order to ship me a new battery under the six month warranty. Just now I got an email confirming shipment with delivery in two days. I have to say I’m impressed with their customer service. Not so much pleased with a dead battery in seven weeks but I guess these things can happen. Lets see going forward, but so far, very good service.UPDATE 7/7/24 The replacement battery arrived and put it on the charger and nothing, no lights, so is it bad or is the charger bad? Called WORX again and spoke with Anthony. After we got to understand each other it went very well. At first he wanted me to take the battery to Home Depot and ask them to charge it? No Thanks on that one. So after some discussion, he sent me a new charger and another battery. They arrived yesterday and IT WORKS! Even the first battery that the charger said was defective now works so the original issue was the charger. In fact I opened it and there is a burn on the circuit board. I have to say WORX is a very upstanding company and I would clearly say that they stand behind their products. Now that I have three batteries, I guess I’m gonna have to buy more of their tools. Customer Review: “I needed a lightweight trimmer that I could use easily to do spot work around trees, faucets and other trim work. This was it! It easy folds for storage into a small space, runs a long time on one charged battery, and works like a champ. The string spool looks so small but it lasts a long time, several uses around garden beds, string light poles, flower beds, faucets, etc. I also found out it is adjustable so that I can use it as a lawn mower in tight areas that I can’t get the push mower in, cuts as evenly as the mower. it is super easy to change the battery and the string spool. The string spools aren’t expensive either. There is nothing I don’t like about it. I still use the heavy gas string trimmer for around fences trees, and equipment shed in the pastures on my farm but this one is my every day trimmer now.”

Customer Review: “I live in Phoenix on an acre parcel and most of it is in desert landscape. Therefore no formal lawn to mow. Yaaa. However when it rains here the weeds grow, well like weeds. Fast and furious. This year we had lots of rain and lots of weeds. I’ve been running a battery powered weed eater every day for a week or so. My back is aching from twisting sideways back and forth so it was time to look for a better solution. I figured how about a small battery powered lawn mower and then I found this thing at about half the cost. So figuring I’d probably junk it after a couple tries I decided to give it a try. Really glad I did. Soon as it arrived I put it together and out I went. It had just rained again and everything was wet but I had to try it. Worked perfectly. Knocked down and chewed up everything I ran it over and no extra back pain as a bonus. I charged up the batteries( comes with 2) overnight and set out to do a good cleanup the next day. This thing is a real delight. It runs about 20 minutes on each battery and since the batteries are fairly small you can carry the spare one in your pocket. another thing about the batteries is the way they eject from the tool. Push the button on the battery and it pops out of the tool’s battery compartment. I mention this because removing the battery from my other “green” weed eater is a real chore You have to push in 2 tabs, one on each side of the battery, and forcibly pull it from the tool. My wife can’t even manage doing it and I barely can, often resorting to prying it loose with a screwdriver while pushing the tabs with both hands. The black and decker batteries just eject with 1 hand by pushing the button, I love it. When you get close to a fence or wall and the platform won’t get close enough, the weed wacker removes from the deck instantly by stepping on a lever on the deck and lifting the handle of the weed wacker forward and up. To return it back in the deck reverse the process, simple and easy. Keep in mind this is a regular string trimmer. It is not a bladed lawn mower and does not do the job of a bladed lawn mower It is a string trimmer on wheels. because you push it similar to vacuming a carpet , front and back, front and back, instead of constantly twisting sideways it doesn’t put the strain on your arms and back like a regular string trimmer does. It does not mulch as fine as a mower would and if you have tall weeds or grass as I did you will need to make several passes, as you would with any string trimmer except you don’t have to hold it up, just push it back and forth. I have not had to replace the line yet so I cannot comment on that, except to say looking at it, it looks like the exact same process as the other 2 trimmers I have. To clear the bottom of the deck I simply remove the trimmer and wash out the deck with a hose. its been coated with wet grass almost every time I finish. I’m sure dry shorter vegetation will cut much easier. I’m cutting damp weeds and bermuda grass about knee high. The deck is light weight plastic but seems durable enough. If the deck should deteriorate and I have to replace it, the replacement cost of the set is about the same as a different manufacture’s string trimmer alone. but I’ll worry about that if it happens. so far I have no regrets whatsoever.”

Customer Review: “At the outset, I’m only giving a 4 star rating because I’ve just received it today, and have only used it once for a quick trial cutting of my backyard after getting one of the batteries charged. However, if it goes on as it started, I’ll probably come back at the end of the summer and up the rating to 5 stars. This is a cordless string trimmer/edger with a neat little plastic cart that you can slip the trimmer into and use to roll over your yard to cut the grass easily. The wheels are adjustable (though I have not at this point attempted to adjust the height), and the trimmer slips into and out of the cart with amazing ease. Out of the box, the only assembly is putting the guard on the bottom of the trimmer and screwing in one screw to hold the guard in place. You do need your own Phillips head screwdriver but that’s all. Then you put on the handle which pops on quite easily. It comes with two batteries and a charger. The first charge took about three hours. Once the battery was charged, I couldn’t resist giving it a try, so I inserted the battery and gave my yard a very quick mow with the trimmer in the cart, I popped the trimmer out of the cart, and was able to trim around my fence, shed, and the grass between my paving stone walkway. It worked well all around. Once finished with the trim, it was easy to replace the trimmer into the little cart, remove the battery, and put the ‘mower’ into my garden shed until the weekend. All-in-all, I can say I’m very pleased with my purchase. It’s very light, and so much easier for me to use than my heavy, cumbersome gas powered mower. And as you can see, the main word with this product is ‘ease’.”
