Customer Review: I haven’t used it yet but it is heavier than I thought it would be. I am 74 and I’m sure that if I was a few years younger and didn’t have any medical issues I would be very happy with it. I guess I should also mention that I’m female lol. I also have a hard time changing the blades but I mainly bought it for the hedge trimmer so I don’t think I will be changing them very often. I don’t know if I would recommend them for elderly females but I might change my mind once I use them! The main reason I bought them was because I am switching most of my tools for battery operated ones so I don’t have to mess with power cords or gas and most of them are very lightweight and easy to use! I also like the fact that there are 2 batteries. I also wish there were heavy plastic guards for the blades, they have cardboard over them and I don’t think that will last very long. I may add more to this once I have used them which should be soon.

Customer Review: At the time of evaluation this was listed on Amazon for ~$70. This is in line with other manufacturers brushed versions so you are getting more for your money (which you should since it’s not a name brand).I tested this against a brushed Ryobi 18v hedge trimmer. It feels lighter / cheaper – point for Ryobi. It feels much better balanced than the Ryobi – point for this. They seem to have the same power / cut speed – tie point. I really like the digital readout on top that shows battery percentage – haven’t seen that before on a power tool and kind of neat.Pictures show how it came – easy to assembly, but is not fully assembled out of the box. Comes with a nice blade cover that you do not have to wrestle to put on.I tested this with a Seesii battery (Makita style) – it felt well balanced with a 4Ah battery installed. Would recommend as an alternative if you are in the Makita ecosystem and cannot / do not want to buy Makita.

Customer Review: I got these to encourage my daughters to help out in the garden around their playhouse that we are repurposing as a teen hangout. I didn’t have high expectations to be honest. But these are serious clippers. We pruned two huge lugustrum lollipop bushes and I was able to take out weeds in several flower beds and even some hardened off vines. The charge lasts longer than I do! 😂 They are lightweight and easy on the hands. I have small hands and they are very comfortable. I used it basically as a weed wacker in several overgrown flower beds. I think I will order another set so two of us can work simultaneously.

Customer Review: I got tired of weeds piling up in places where a lawnmower won’t go – around the hose, against the wall, under my little trees. This thing works great for those use cases. The blades were really annoying to swap – there’s no satisfying click when the blade’s in the right place, I pretty much had to guess and check – and the hedge trimmer choked on my lavender bushes too often to be something I’d use regularly, but the basic blade was lovely and the whole machine is so wonderfully light and easy to use one-handed.

Customer Review: Really impressed, so much nicer than a gas powered or corded. Holy crap is it nicer. So quite and light. Super sharp 👌. I’ve used it 3 times now. Trimmed 7 hedges on one 5.0 battery with life to spare. For only needing a couple times a year you cant beat this trimmer. Im finding reasons to use it’s a nice tool.

As you can see from my photos, all of my manual garden cutting tools are of the FISKARS brand. That’s because I have used this brand of tool for many years, along with other brands of garden shears. FISKARS shears and tools have out-performed and outlasted all other brands consistently over many years. In fact, they may one day be passed on to my grown children as the sturdiest, most durable and most precise garden shears ever made.I chose this particular Powergear-2 hedge cutting shears primarily for their lightweight feature. They are comfortable to hold and maneuver in tight sports. They operate smoothly and efficiently and reliably. My other FISKARS cutting tools are heavier and some have very useful, extendable handles that allow me to trim large and tall bushes and hedges. Some allow me to cut very thick branches easily.I have been using these lightweight shears weekly on extensive, full-grown plantings for almost two months now. They are very sharp, easy to manipulate and cut cleanly all of the time. They are designed for thin branches on hedges and shrubs. They are particularly useful for tall bushes and hedges where I have to reach over my head to trim for long periods of time. Their light weight and clean cutting ability is a definite asset in such situations. Yes, I do have electric hedge cutters, but I rarely use them. I prefer the precise shaping ability that these FISKARS shears alone provide.The shears are an excellent value at $31. I am confident that they will provide years of use, based on current and past experience. They are a real bargain when you consider the high cost that professional landscapers charge.
