It does a good job with flattening the ground. It grips well but the material is easy to get dirty and hard to clean the handles. I am able to twist easily with. The spikes are not super sharp but still handle with care as it can still puncture with enough force. The spikes have not had any issues with breaking but there is some light paint chipping. The assembled is really simple. The rode had no issues with bending or anything. It has helped with lawn maintenance. This is not really meant for big fields. It comes with an Allen wrench and a combination wrench to tighten the bolts. The closed (box) end is not the right size for the bolts, but the open end worked. It comes with an extra couple of bolts. The tool is sort of fun to use. It is a lot less work or strain on my back than using a shovel. In most of the “dead zone” I had to put my entire weight onto the step area and rock a bit to get the tubes to sink down to ground level. When I pull it up and repeat the action, it spits out three “turd-like” cylinders of packed soil, about 2 cm in diameter and 10 cm long.
